Trewoon is situated in a spectacular front line position directly overlooking the picturesque sandy beach at Poldhu Cove. The beach is popular with bathers and surfers and there are lifeguards on the beach from the third week of May to Mid September.
The grounds at Trewoon extend to some two and a half acres and run down to the cove, access to the beach can be obtained via a private gate. The rear grounds run adjacent to Mullion Golf Course, the most southerly golf course in the United Kingdom.
Guests are welcome to use the extensive and well-stocked grounds at Trewoon. The grounds are a mixture of secluded and sheltered lawns which are ideal for sun bathing, open grassed areas and natural woodlands which are populated with several species of wildlife and are interspersed with meandering footpaths from which you can admire the magnificent and far-reaching views of the beach, cove and Mount's Bay.
Opportunities for walking and exploring the rugged coastline of the Lizard Peninsula are quite literally a step from Trewoon's seaward gate.
Whether you are looking for a family beach holiday, a golfing break, a walking holiday or a quiet spot to rest and reflect, Trewoon offers three choices of accommodation to suit the varying needs and requirements of holidaymakers. Each property is south facing, enjoys sea views and has private parking.
'Poltesco' is a detached, centrally heated, two bedroom bungalow situated in its own gardens and enjoys uninterrupted views of the beach and sea. The bungalow offers a tranquil resting spot from which you can relax and watch families of rabbits feeding in the gardens. You awake to the morning chorus of songbirds and fall asleep lulled by the sound of waves breaking onto the beach below.
Entered into the hallway with doors off to: Comfortable lounge with superb views of the sandy beach and coast, two-seater sofa and two armchairs, coffee table, LCD TV/DVD combi. Double bedroom with king-size bed from where you can enjoy spectacular sea views of the cove. With bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table. Second bedroom with two 3' single beds, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table. Spacious kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, cafetiere, toaster, kettle and washing machine. Bathroom which has been newly refurbished and is fully tiled with large shower, toilet, handbasin and heated towel rail. Outside there are private gardens with lawned area, two patios with garden furniture and BBQ, from here you can take the short path, down through the grounds of Trewoon, to the private gate giving access to the beach.
Linen will be provided with freshly made up beds and a welcome tray will be awaiting your arrival. A selection of books and games is provided and the central heating and hot water are controllable by the guests.
The property is centrally heated and double-glazed and rental includes bedlinen, electricity and heating.
Office suite facilities to include computer, broadband internet access, fax and photocopying.
No smoking inside this property please
Please Note: With effect from 10th June 2008 no new bookings will be accepted that include dogs or children under 10 years old. Existing bookings will, of course, be honoured.
The owner has 3 Boxer dogs.

Stunning Location who could ask for more, lulled to sleep by the ocean and home from home comforts.

Who needs Greece when you've got the colours of the ocean, the palm trees, the cedars - all here at Poltesco with its stunning views of Poldhu Cove. The gardens are beautiful, the accommodation superb and the owners most welcoming. Who needs more? Tony and Ruth |

Had a wonderful relaxing week 12/4/08. We always get a warm welcome from owners and their dogs,our own GSD always made welcome.Cottage has everything you need. Views are spectacular and better than can be imagined.Wonderful walks. This is home from home ,we try to come a couple of times a year and will be back in October. |

We regard this as our second home and have fallen in love with the area. The cottage has everything you could want and is situated in an idyllic situation. The owners and their dogs and cat are extremely welcoming. If you want a relaxing break in superb surroundings then come here! |
