Kalimpong Apartment was originally part of the Edwardian Headland Hotel estate which enjoys a spectacular position on the cliff top just half a mile from the village of Coverack. The property is in a quiet, sheltered position but offers splendid views of the private bay from the second bedroom.
The property offers all you can need for a family (yes - the family dog is welcome), beach and activity holiday. A "no chintz" zone, low maintenance Delabole slate and stripped wooden floors are practical yet stylish with a distinctly seaside feel. All fixtures and fittings, including a newly re-fitted shower room are tailored to offer a simple yet comfortable and versatile base for a relaxed yet fun-packed family break.
The kitchen/dining room contains an electric oven with four ring hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, free-standing work units and a large pine dining table and chairs. Cotton tea towels are provided.
In the lounge there are two sofas and two single chairs. TV, dvd player (and a selection of films), micro hi-fi with CD player and digital radio, video, large selection of books and board games. Bedroom one has double bed with integrated bedside tables and lights, hanging space with full length mirror, small wardrobe and hairdryer. Bedroom two with sea views towards the private beach, has a shaker style double bed, bedside lamps, a chest of drawers, hanging space and hairdryer. Bedroom three is suitable for children only and contains two full size bunk beds and drawer storage.
There is a private patio area to the rear of the property with a garden table/seating. This is a perfect spot as it catches the late afternoon sun.
Guests will have access to the private family beach for fishing, exploring or simply sunbathing as well as use of the extensive grounds complete with natural stream and pond (children must be accompanied) adjacent sculpture park and free use of the well-maintained tennis court. A host of maintained footpaths, including a link to the South West coastal path, make this an ideal base for rambling.
A quality highchair, baby backpack carrier and baby bath can be made available on request. All bedlinen and towels are made from luxury natural fibres and included in the rental price. Professional washing and drying facilities are available in the main building (small charge) as is a payphone.
Nearby Coverack also has a family-oriented, pet friendly, sandy beach and full range of amenities including quaint harbour, art gallery, coffee shops, eateries, pub, diving and windsurfing school and a host of local facilities are just a drive away from the charms of historic St Keverne, the organic delights of Roskillys, fine dining at restaurants and gastro pubs, fresh seafood, spectacular ports, or the more organized distractions of Flambards Activity centre, Goonhilly Downs and the Seal Sanctuary.

Jackson Family 2008 on 02 / 09 / 2008		It makes a change to find a location with personal touches like the welcome tray, books and dvds, games and decent art rather than granny's attic outcasts. Good value for money.
Reilly Family London on 04 / 07 / 2008		You'll struggle to find a better location within lovely walks of quintessential Cornish village, great sites and a fabulour penninsula. Whale sharks, seals and dolphins seen from the grounds. Good family accomodation.
