Situated on the East side of the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, Kennack Sands is sheltered from the prevailing westerly swells and winds, making this a good choice on breezy days. The sandy beaches (there are two, separated by a dune) are best enjoyed at low tide when they will provide hours of interesting rock pools to discover. Dogs are restricted on the first beach nearest the car park, but allowed all year on the far (East) beach.
